Tulapanji (is an Indian rice cultivar from West Bengal, India. Tulapanji is an indigenous aromatic rice landrace grown mainly in Raiganj. The aroma and quality of this rice variety are strongly associated with its native origin.The Tulapanji rice was allotted the geographical indication tag of West Bengal on 24/10/2017. It has many traditional Bengali recipes intended for it specifically. Tulapanji is categorized as 'non-Basmati aromatic rice'. It has medium-long slender grain. Cooked rice is tasty, good in texture, bright in appearance, non-sticky and friable due to high amylose content.
