Zardozi handcraft is the main craft of the district. Even though Zardozi craft is known since the Mughal era, work related to embroidery, hand embroidery, munga pearls, silk was also prevalent in years before that. Zardozi embroidery is a type of metal embroidery. It involves making elaborate designs, using gold and silver threads along with studded pearls and precious stones. The unique hand embroidered coral pearl has a place of its own. About 65 thousand artisans in the district are presently engaged in this craft. Their work is in demand at national as well as international level.
