Durgi Stonecraft hails from the temple town village of Durgi in the Palnadu region of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. These are intricate stone carving made from the special kind of limestone which is native to the region. The soft, whitish, great texture of the stone makes it ideal for carving ornamental sculptures of God and Goddesses. Apart from this, beautiful decorative items are also made using stone carvings.
