Banarasi Brocade is a spectacular creation of skilled craftsmen of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Each strand of silk is delicately woven into the fine fabric with beautiful motifs of flowers, animals, and intricate zari woven borders inspired by Mughal architecture. Banarasi sarees can be woven into colors like red, blue, yellow, green, etc.
This purple Katan silk saree is beautifully designed with an immensely detailed border woven in zari threads and floral motifs inspired by the Mughal architecture woven evenly across the field of the saree.
Banaras Brocades and Sarees is an exclusive GI of Uttar Pradesh and was awarded a GI certification in the year 2007.
